Dr. Sailåesh Rao is the Founder and Executive Director of Climate Healers, a non-profit dedicated towards healing the Earth’s climate. He is an environmentalist by occupation and a systems engineer of Medicine and Health Sciences by profession. Sailesh is a Human, Earth and Animal Liberation (HEAL) activist, husband, dad and since 2010, a star-struck grandfather.

Join Eric on the main stage from 12:00-12:45 where he will conduct dynamic science experiments like bubbling potions, windstreams and clouds on the ground. Using willing volunteers throughout the show, experience the energy – and take home an experiment.

Lindstrom is the author of The Skeptical Vegan and Raising Vegan Kids. When he isn’t writing books, raising vegan kids, or posting vegan food pics on social media, Lindstrom is the Executive Director of Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM), the nation’s first animal rights organization dedicated to ending the use of animals for food.

Congressman Jamie Raskin proudly represents Maryland’s 8th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. The district includes Montgomery (home to Chevy Chase/Bethesda), Carroll, and Frederick Counties. Raskin was sworn into his third Term at the start of the 117th Congress on January 3, 2021. Raskin is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. Raskin continues to support a plant-based diet, which he has referred to as “aligning my morals with my menu,” and encourages everyone to make kinder, greener, and healthier food choices for the planet and the animals.

And for kids, we’ll have a dedicated Kid’s Korner with activities including Eric Energy’s Interactive Science Spectacular, LUSH Cosmetics Bath Bomb Making, face painting, Go Green DIY arts & crafts projects, free coloring books, jumbo yard games, interactive playground, Fairy Hair, and farmed animals photo ops. There’s something for everyone and fun for the whole family.

Please join us for our sustainability festival, Planet Deleware, spanning the weekend of September 13. This three-day festival will feature an inspiring climate-focused film on Friday. Followed by the outdoor festival, featuring four enlightening speakers who will discuss ways we can all address the climate crisis, cooking demos, and adoptable friends. Our Kids Korner features family-friendly activities such as jumbo yard games, face painting, and arts and crafts. This unique experience also includes The Healing Arts Village showcasing sound therapy, yoga, and massage. Get ready to dance with 6 musical guests and an art reception. Concluding our festival is a vegan Sunday brunch to connect with like-minded individuals to support our journeys to a climate-friendly life.
